Hello to all my dear friends!
Generative AI is based upon LLMs. LLMs stand for Large Language Models. So let’s delve into understanding LLMs.
What are Large Language Models (LLMs)?
LLMs focus on developing algorithms that are capable of understanding, generating and interacting with human languages. These can generate essays, analyze legal documents, reply to questions or generate other content based on the input from humans.
LLMs do not think like humans instead they use language pattern to mimic how humans creates sentences, paragraphs.
It predicts just a single word, and then uses it to predict the next word. And this iteratively continues.
There are trainings for LLMs:
- Pre-training – Feeding lots and lots of data from books, wikipedia, blogs, etc.
- Fine-tuning – It is trained on smaller task-specific dataset and solve specific business challenge.
Applications of LLMs
- Customer service automation – Widely use of chatbots nowadays
- Content creation and curation
- Language translation and localization
- Automated software development and code generation
- Legal and compliance document review
- Sentiment analysis and market research
- Human Resource automation
- Knowledgebase Information retrieval
Real Life Use Cases of LLMs
- OpenAI ChatGPT – Widely known now
- Google Gemini
- Grammarly
- Bloomberg GPT
- NVIDIA’s NeMo Megatron
- LLMs in medicine
- LLMs in marketing
- British Telecom’s AIMEE
